In this experience students will be provided with a Lego block base and wheels. A varsity of legos will be provided for students to design and build a Lego Derby Race Car.
Once completed, students will race their cars on our custom 38ft SepeedLab Derby Track in groups of 4. Racing will continue until the Championship Four are determined and a GRAND CHAMPION is crowned.
This experience can be customized to include a design competition and can accommodate up to 40 students per session. A typical session is 60-90 minutes long but can be adapted to 30-45 minutes. Setup requires approx 90 minutes and requires a flat surface 9 indoors or out) approximately 20ft x 50 ft.
We offer this experience in our Synergy SpeedLab "Learning Lab" on the campus of Skipstone Academy in Griffin, GA or as a mobile experience at your location. We ask for a $500 donation per group for Lego Derbies plus $150 for travel for mobile experiences. Scholarships are available!
